See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.

In a tiny Swaledale village, where the Pennine Way, Coast to Coast and Herriot Way paths meet, this former youth hostel opened at Easter 2007 to become Keld’s first pub since temperance campaigners bought and closed the Cat Hole Inn in 1954. Offers B&B and a 40-seat restaurant with food 7 days a week and a conservatory-style terrace with stunning views across the hills plus a tiny traditional style bar. Popular with outdoor enthusiasts and with arranged walking holidays. It is also served by baggage couriers. The remote location means it closes from November to March inclusive, apart from Christmas/ New Year period between Dec.27th and Jan. 2nd, from 12-5pm.
