See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.

Interesting friendly country pub in a small village. Three separate areas, with the bar in between the games area and the restaurant. In 2022 the building's future as a pub was under threat as the owners wished to convert it to housing. The local community began a campaign to keep it as a pub and succeeded in registering it as an Asset of Community Value. By June 2023 the Old Horn Community Pub Society had secured enough funding to bring the pub into community ownership. It re-opened in May 2024, after considerable refurbishment. The bar is new, created especially for the pub by a local joiner whose "trade mark" (a ram's head) appears in the wood. Phone ahead if you wish to stay the night - there are only two guest rooms! The nearby church features a large Russian cross 'rescued' from Sebastopol during the Crimean War. Please note that the pub may close up to two hours earlier than advertised if all the customers have left.
