Interesting friendly country pub in a small village. Three separate areas, with the bar in between the games area and the restaurant. It re-opened in May 2024 under community ownership, and won CAMRA's Pub Saving Award for 2024. The bar is new, created especially for the pub by a local joiner whose "trade mark" (a ram's head) appears in the wood. Phone ahead if you wish to stay the night - there are only two guest rooms! The nearby church features a large Russian cross 'rescued' from Sebastopol during the Crimean War. Please note that the pub may close up to two hours earlier than advertised if all the customers have left.
