See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.

A "destination pub" in every sense. Britain’s highest inn, at 1732 feet above sea level, is famed for its isolated and exposed setting at a high point on the Pennine Way. The low-beamed, stone-floored bar is warmed for much of the year by the fire in a heavy stone fireplace. The lounge has a mass of battered leather sofas, while the former games room has been extended to make a large third room. Bed and breakfast and bunkhouse accommodation are available and motorhomes are welcome provided drivers make a small donation to charity. Currently hosting stargazing nights in outdoor domes.
